Suprise! You're Dead!! Posted July 19 2005 by Allan - I post as boredom ensues. Matt and I have gotten together a few times with Ryan from Ruin and jammed around. Wrote some cool music and played some OWD classics. I'm also working on recording what was our second album into the computer, but that's a slow process. Other than that, shit has been going on with us. I noticed there is another One Way Down that put an album out in May. They stole our shit! heh Even their cd label is the same. But seriously, if the REAL One Way Down does try to come back, we'll probably have a new name. OWD was a special group of people and albeit the music may be the same, the surge-filled, rat shit infested, glorious history and memories of the band will stay with the original members. It's pretty much just me and Matt, as it was back in '96 when we started this with BFD, so we'll see what we can make of it. I'll try and post some music at some point, either self-recorded or maybe the new jam, we'll see. I got nothin'. Posted August 29 2004 by Allan - Well, I think the OWD is going to take a break for a while. Matt and I have other stuff to take care of and(for now) don't really have the interest in trying to find and teach another guitarist. I'm sure we'll get back in the swing, but we haven't been in the practice space for a month or two, and that's a lot of money that could have been used elsewhere. We want to play but not in the right mindframe to piece it all together. Keep an eye out, or add your email to the newsletter if it ain't there already, and perhaps the mighty OWD will once again rock some socks, bitches.What will become of us. Posted June 23 2004 by Allan - It has come to the point where I feel I should post something. BFD has decided he wants to leave the band. Without him, the rest of us are seriously doubting our motivation and are considering giving up on this. If you want to try an convince us otherwise, feel free to email any of us. (Matt, BFD, Allan) I still want to play, but it might be a hard find to get another guitarist and teach all the songs.
