One Way Down

In late 1997, in the suburb city of Peabody, MA, guitarist Matt Murphy and drummer Allan Arico got together to form a band. Fueled by disappointing lack of metal in releases from Metallica and Megadeth, along with the hard/rap-core trends in popular and local music, they vowed to stick true to their influences and carve out a style to fill the void. After three years of name changes, constant practice, and band member musical chairs, they finally found a sound that represents them musically. Acquiring former Kindred bass player Jay Dalton (AKA Big J.), and Matt's long time friend Matt Dix (AKA BFD) as a second guitarist solidified the current line up. We like to think of ourselves as just a raw metal band, no gimmicks, no absurd flashiness, no unique genre we created to call our own. We are a mix of all our influences: metal, rock, thrash, speed, death, progressive, melodic.

Call it what you will, we're just four assholes making the music we want to hear.
